The club was formed in late 1972, as The Caravan Section of Morris Motors Social and Athletic Club, and we held our first rally in March 1973.

The name was changed to Morris Motors Caravan and Camping Club (MMCCC), when we joined The British Leyland Camping and Caravanning Association (BLCCA), and accepted tents into the club.

MMCCC, unlike the car industry, has survived. Now with second generation members who grew up in the club, joining those members who attended our first rally in 1973!
